Volunteering at Adóptame Atitlán for 5 weeks completely changed our lives. We had never received so much love from animals, and living in contact with them enabled us to develop new skills we would never have suspected.

Living in Guatemala, we are confronted with stray dogs in poor health and lacking love, and the association enables them to have better health and find a loving family.

It’s a wonderful experience to get involved and see other people (volunteers, locals, vets, donors…) get involved for the dogs and cats. Everyone in their own way can contribute to their well-being, and we’re delighted to have humbly contributed.

For over six years, our founder has dedicated her time and resources to helping stray dogs in Guatemala, funding food for hundreds of dogs herself.

Recently, we launched a new initiative to support our cause: we now sell cookies on the streets of San Juan La Laguna. This activity helps us cover our bills and fund essential care for our dogs.

Every dog in our program receives health screenings, vaccinations and socialization to be ready to join a loving family. We are committed to finding each dog a home that understands its needs and will provide it with undying love.
